Woman is trampled to death by cows

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/jun/22/woman-trampled-cows-yorkshire

Summary:
A woman, aged 49, was trampled by a herd of cows. The cows were most likely spooked by her dogs, two brown and white spaniels. The woman, a vet, was found dead. A spokeswoman said that though it is highly unlikely to happen, people walking in the area should be aware of incidents such as this. She also added that there is no need for fear of the countryside or cows in general. There is only a 1% chance that cows behave in such a manner, normally ignoring those walking by. She ends with an advice to keep your dog of their leads and avoid cows that are on the pathways.

My view:
At first I was like "Say what? How on Earth do you get trampled by cows?". Then I realised that the cows in question did not (and most likely) wander behind fences like it is common here in Holland. Then I read about the dogs and I added one and one together. I fully agree with what the spokeswoman said about the country; It is really rare that something like this could ever happen (let alone to a VET!), and I hope that she will find peace. At least she died the way she lived her life, with animals on her mind.

Peace
